What is TREOX D?

TREOX D is a fast-acting liquid disinfectant. TREOX D contains no alcohol, no surfactants, no dyes, no fragrances, no preservatives and is free of fat and oil. TREOX D has a broad spectrum of activity against micro-organisms and when mixed with water it provides application solutions for various fields of application. TREOX D is classified in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 and is free of any hazard pictograms and is dermatologically certified with “excellent”.

 
What does TREOX D work against?

TREOX D is effective against viruses, fungi, bacteria, yeasts and spores. According to EN 14476, TREOX D is proven to be effective against SARS-CoV-2 at a concentration of 10% within 60 seconds.

Which fields of application is TREOX D suitable for?

TREOX D is a broadband disinfectant for various applications. For example, for surface disinfection, CIP cleaning, stable disinfection, drinking water disinfection, transport disinfection, etc. Please contact us for details and individual purposes.

How does TREOX D work?

TREOX D has an anionic freight, which destroys the cell structure of bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeasts and spores by an oxidation process.

Is TREOX D only available in liquid form?

Yes.

Why does the smell of TREOX D remind you of a swimming pool?

TREOX D contains chlorite-containing compounds that are reminiscent of the smell of a swimming pool.

Does the swimming pool smell disappear when using TREOX D?

Yes, after a few minutes with the application solution. The odor also disappears with high-dose applications.

Does TREOX D contain chlorine?

No, TREOX D does not contain elemental chlorine. The active ingredient is hypochlorous acid.

Do I need protective equipment to use TREOX D?

No, special protective equipment is not necessary.

Why does the TREOX D label not have hazard pictograms

TREOX D is a biocide which is not classified as hazardous according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. Therefore, it does not need any hazard pictograms

Do I have to declare TREOX D as dangerous goods during transport?

No, TREOX D is not a dangerous good according to transport law.

How should TREOX D be stored?

It should be stored tightly closed, protected from light and UV light at room temperature. After opening, TREOX D should be used within three months.

How do I dilute TREOX D correctly?

The application solution is ready for use and should not be diluted further. Only TREOX D concentrate is diluted with water. Depending on the application purpose and contamination of the environment a different concentration is recommended. For application recommendations please refer to our product data sheets. If there are any uncertainties, we will be glad to help you.

Can TREOX D be mixed with other substances?

No, the effectiveness of TREOX D cannot be guaranteed as soon as external substances are added. If the pH-value is drastically reduced by adding acids, the formation of undesirable gases cannot be excluded.

Does TREOX D have a bleaching effect?

Discoloration may occur. Please test textiles in an inconspicuous place.
